Good thing you are driving a Honda...you probably won't see this too often.
The performance and efficiency of your new Superior Honda is always related to the amount of fuel consumed by it. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. However, a new Honda’s performance can also be increased in certain ways without negatively affecting the gas mileage of a car. Keep in mind that these performance enhancing features are better left to to the pros at Superior Honda. However, if after reading a few tips from autoblog.net below has you thinking about new ways to save on fuel and increase the performance of your Honda, just swing by and we’ll see what we can do.
Here we go:
Performance chips: Computer chips that operate most new cars these days keep track of how much horsepower and torque can be displaced. Using performance chips or recalibrating the current chip used in a car can help in increasing the torque and horsepower to a great extent.
Cold air Intake: Power of a car engine can be increased if the temperature of the air that enters the car can be reduced. An under the hood modification in the form of cold air intake can help in this. Such an enhancement also beautifies the engine bay by making it colorful and attractive. Such a unit will also make an appealing sound.
Reusable air filters: I love these. Throughout the life of most of the cars, about 6 to 12 auto air filters are used without facing any problem, but when not in use most of them end up at the landfills for waste materials. Even though reusable air filters cost thrice as much as normal air filters, they are washable and last much longer than the regular ones. In fact, when you buy a reusable air filter for your car, it is actually the last one you will be ever buying for it. These air filters help you to increase acceleration and horsepower, besides having a very positive impact on the environment. Check out K&N Air Filters. They have performed the best on my Honda.
Performance exhaust systems: Want to unleash more horsepower, trapped up torque, and improve the overall automotive performance? Look into “catalyst-back exhaust systems” for cars. It’s also know or referred to as a Cat-Back. Such a system installed in a car reduces exhaust back pressure by using low restriction performance mufflers and large width exhaust pipes while keeping all the important emission parts in their proper place. In addition to better performance, the exhaust system emits awesome sound…If you are into powerful sounding cars.

Want an expert to help increase your new car’s performance? Call Superior Honda, we have a lot of great, and affordable suggestions.
Honda off-road racing is very popular. Not so much for Cincinnati Hondas, but there are hordes of people all over the United States that live and breathe 4-wheel drive modification and extreme off-roading.
SCORE International is an off-road sanctioning body in the sport of desert racing and is famous for its flagship event, the Baja 1000. SCORE races are held in United States and Mexico. I have had the opportunity to see some off-road racing before and it’s pretty exciting. There something about not just racing other machines, but you are at the mercy of the Earth as well. It certainly isn’t like going around in a circle 500 times. If you ever get a chance to check out a race I highly recommend it.
The Baja 1000 is the most popular race.
Baja 1000 is an off-road race that takes place on Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula in late November. The Baja 1000 is part of a series of races that include the Baja 500, San Felipe 250 and Primm 300. The event includes various types of vehicle classes such as small and large bore motorcycles, stock VW, production vehicles, buggies, trucks, and custom fabricated race vehicles. The course has remained relatively the same over the years with the majority of events being either a point-to-point race from Ensenada to La Paz, or a loop race starting and finishing in Ensenada. The name of the event is misleading as the mileage varies for the type of event (loop or point to point) and has represented kilometers in the past. [Source: Wikipedia]
Want to see the New Honda Ridgeline in action?Well, your best be is to come into Superior Honda for a test drive…of course it will be almost as exciting as the video below.
One of the best fuel sipping Hondas at Superior Honda, the CR-Z may just be getting even more efficient. Plus, to top it off, if the production line of this new 2012 CR-Z looks anything like the concept, all of you Honda people are going to want to run out immediately and put your name on the waiting list.
According too some articles I’ve read in Motor Trend and in talking with a few distributor friends who attended this year’s SEMA convention, the CR-Z Hybrid R might redeem the would-be sporty hybrid hatchback, if only it wasn’t just a concept…for now. First shown off at last year’s SEMA Show, the Hybrid R still utilizes a turbocharged and intercooled 1.5-liter I-4 paired with an electric motor – good for a combined output of 200 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. There’s an assortment of non-stock body parts added to the exterior, though the end product came out looking tasteful (not sold on that spoiler yet), and almost production-ready. That doesn’t come as too big a surprise, apparently the new Honda car was put together by Honda’s own in-house performance wing, Honda Performance Development (HPD). The Hybrid R looks great, and, with 200 hp on tap, probably benefits from more inspiring performance compared to the standard CR-Z.
Now, I’m not sure if Superior Honda will ever get to see this CR-Z in this form, but it sure would be nice! Finally a hybrid that looks as good as the money you’ll save driving it! What are your thoughts? Think that Honda can produce this line and change a few people’s minds about, not just the money savings aspects of owning a hybrid, but also some of the misconceptions about it being ugly and underpowered? I think Honda is taking a huge step in the right direction with this model. Let’s hope to see if it goes into production soon, because your New Honda Dealer in Cincinnati sure would like to take this one for a spin!
Rumors have been circling for years about a successor to Honda’s NSX and finally we’re getting somewhere. The original plan was to release a successor by 2010, but Honda’s former CEO Takeo Fukui killed the development due to the global economic crisis and the company’s progressive environmental position. But don’t worry, Honda’s CEO, Takanobu Ito, has announced that Honda is beginning to work on a new sports car. Though he didn’t disclose a specific date for production, he did tell us his goal of building a car focused on the power-to-weight-ratio as opposed to outright power.
The original NSX was sold in the US under the Acura brand and boy was she powerful. Back then, Ito played a large part in the development of the vehicle and said his favorite part was the work he did on the aluminum body. In a press conference, Ito said, “I really enjoyed that experience, and learned so much, so it is my wish that Honda engineers have the experience of developing a sports car like the NSX in [the] future. Within Honda, our engineers are already looking at developing such a car.”
Because Honda has been so focused on fuel efficiency, some people in the auto industry have labeled the company as “behind” when it comes to sportiness. Ito responded, “let me assure you that is not the case…we will address that impression with our new generation of cars.”
Get excited, Cincinnati Honda fanatics. It looks like there are many more exciting things in Honda’s future… including an NSX successor.
Want to see what happens to two Honda Civic drivers when competition gets a little too fierce. Even teammates can get out of control. The British Touring Car Championship was recently and teammates Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden were on the last lap of the race. Matt decided that second place was not nearly as cool as first place to he decided to pass his teammate….. Both Honda Civics lost.
Honda racing… Never a dull moment. It’s even better when we can WIN!
I don’t care how old you are or how young you are…. Everyone loves Cars and Mader! Who wouldn’t? Today I finally came across the full length trailer for Cars 2 set to release before you know it!! Check out what AutoBlog had to say.
We’ve got a feeling that you’ve been dying to know exactly what Lightning McQueen is packing under his hood. Pixar has been kind enough to release specifications on some of the heavy hitters of the upcomingCars 2, including our hero protagonist. As it turns out, McQueen boasts 750 horsepower from a V8 engine, which is good enough to get him to 60 miles per hour in around 3.2 seconds on his way to a top speed of 200 mph. Those figures would be good enough to make him the quickest machine in the World Grand Prix were it not for Francesco Bernoulli.
The Italian F1 racer also rocks 750 ponies, but can do the 0-60 mph dance in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 220 mph. From the sound of things, it’s going to take some seriously fancy footwork for McQueen to take the checkered flag.
Pixar has released a third trailer that shows off a few more scenes from the movie. It looks like Mater will have a more prominent role in Cars 2 than in the first feature, as you’ll see from the video pasted after the break. You can also check out the specs on the rest of the competitors in the World Grand Prix as well.
While we’re on the Cars 2 kick, cruise over to Lego to see a seriously awesome play set. Is it too soon to start our holiday wish list?
There is something exciting and exhilarating about sitting in front of your TV watching a car chase. Now, I have watched a lot of car chase’s in my time and even though this one is obviously fictionalized it’s still a pretty cool commercial.
A word of advice to your new or used Honda owners….. Don’t drive your Honda like this! Also – if you are traveling in the path of a car chase take my advice and move out of the way!
Ok, so this is one very cool commercial. I will admit it’s not a Honda commercial. It would probably be a lot cooler if it was a Honda racing commercial. However, I think we can all appreciate the greatness that is Ferrari. I promise if you take a few minutes to watch it you will not be disappointed! It’s very well done.
To commemorate the 60 year partnership between Ferrari and Shell, the oil company spent a month filming vintage Ferrari F1 cars in locations including New York, Rome, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney and Hong Kong. The resulting video is nearly two minutes of pure Ferrari F1 car porn, with just seventeen seconds of advertising added (at the very end of the video) to keep the marketing types happy. The soundtrack alone makes the video worth watching, so I suggest you turn up the speakers until your ears are bleeding. If the neighbors aren’t complaining yet, keep watching it until they do. – Automotive Addicts
As you are watching the video just imagine that it is a Honda racing car racing by!
All you Honda lovers out there pay attention…. I got big news! Is it possible that the return of the NSX is on its way? Supposedly Honda execs are in talks about putting back into the production rotation! Production which ceased in 2005 has been missed by the racing community world wide. Many Honda Racing fans have been waiting in anticipation of this day for many years. Could it be time?
Company president Takashi Ito has announced that he’s jump-starting development on the supercar. As you may recall, the beast was unceremoniously put to bed after the global economy gutted itself back in 2008. At the time, the project sailed under the HSV-010 moniker, and Honda even went so far as to campaign a version of the machine in the Japanese Super GT series.
Since then, the supercar segment has all but exploded with new metal. Mercedes-Benz jumped into the action with its SLS AMG, Lexus came to the party with the high-tech LFA and old-timers like the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and Nissan GT-R have been enjoying their own slice of supercar territory. We’re all for the notion of a resurrected Honda fighter, but we’re still going to treat this one with a healthy dose of skepticism. [Source: AutoBlog]
If I ever have the opportunity to drive the NSX you better watch out cause I will be flying down the highway so get out of my way! Ha!
